Some images only come to the surface of consciousness years later, like flotsam that suddenly appears on the beach one morning. Only two or three pictures, the first islands of an archipelago that claims its place in the mental geography.
The pictures in the series presented here were taken during a long stay in Mexico, the editing only seven years later. The necessary time to gain distance, distance to a country and a culture in which violence is omnipresent, death is not a taboo but a daily companion, life all the more intense.
